Research-First
Every recommendation is backed by cross-referenced editorial research from trusted sources (Sleep Foundation, Wirecutter, Tom's Guide, Good Housekeeping), real host experiences from STR communities, and manufacturer specifications. We clearly label whether a recommendation is editorially researched or hands-on tested.
Independent
We do not accept payment for product placement or favorable reviews. Our affiliate relationships do not influence which products we recommend. We choose the best product first, then link to where you can buy it.
STR-Specific Criteria
We evaluate everything through a short-term rental lens: durability under repeated guest use, cleanability between turnovers, guest-delight impact on reviews, replacement cycles, setup friction for remote management, and total cost of ownership — not just sticker price.
Transparent Methodology
Our scoring methodology is published and linked from every review. Every product page shows weighted scores, pros and cons, ideal-use cases, and clear reasoning for our rankings. We show our work so you can make your own decision.
